Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can practice Tai Chi. Older adults may find it appealing because the movements are low impact and put minimal stress on muscles and joints. Tai Chi’s movements are easily modified to accommodate all levels of ability. And, although Tai Chi’s best-documented health effect is its ability to improve balance, it can also reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve strength and increase energy. Marie Favorito, founder and Director of Boston Healing Tao has over two decades of experience teaching tai chi to individuals of all ages.
